Why is sufficient bone mass essential?
After tooth loss, natural bone loss occurs because it is no longer under load. If there is not enough bone, a dental implant cannot be safely inserted into it – it would have nothing to hold onto.
At Karlin Dent, we can restore this volume (augmentation). We use special biocompatible materials that the body accepts as its own and creates new, solid bone tissue.

Types of procedures
Bone deficiency
If a 3D X-ray shows that the jaw is too narrow or low for implant placement.
Sinus Lift (Upper Jaw)
A specific procedure in the upper jaw, where we lift the floor of the maxillary sinus and add bone to ensure that the implant has sufficient height.
After tooth extraction
Immediate bone replacement in the extraction socket to prevent future bone loss (known as socket preservation).

3D Diagnostics
Using CBCT, we will accurately measure your bone volume and determine how much material will need to be added.
Application of material
Under local anesthesia, we gently insert replacement material (granules) into the site of the missing bone.
Protective membrane
We cover the site with a special membrane that protects the newly formed bone and accelerates healing.
Healing and implantation
