Why is a microscope essential?
The goal of endodontics is to remove infection from inside the tooth and preserve it in the mouth. However, root canals are very narrow and often invisible to the naked eye.
At Karlin Dent, we work exclusively with an operating microscope. This allows us to see every detail, hidden canal, and crack, enabling us to treat teeth with maximum success and safety.

When is treatment necessary?
Severe pain and inflammation
If the decay has penetrated to the nerve and caused an infection of the dental pulp (pulpitis).
Dead tooth
A tooth that no longer hurts but is dead inside and represents a source of infection for the entire body.
Re-endo (Repair)
Repeat treatment of root canals that were not filled correctly in the past or have become inflamed again.
How does tooth rescue work?
Diagnostics and anesthesia
We will take an X-ray or 3D CBCT image. We will completely numb the tooth with local anesthesia.
Insulation and cleaning
We place a cofferdam (protective membrane) and remove the infected tissue from the canals under a microscope.
Disinfection and filling
We chemically clean the canals and hermetically seal them with a special filling to prevent bacteria from entering.
Tooth restoration
We reinforce the treated tooth with a pin and finish it with composite resin or a crown for maximum durability.
